Billing, Cancellation & Refunds
Month to month, cancel any time. Here is exactly what happens to the money.
Last updated 12 August 2026
Month to month, no long-term contract, no setup fee, no notice period. Here is exactly what happens to the money when you do.
1. What you are charged
A single monthly subscription fee, set by how many units you own, listed openly on the pricing page: $79, $119, $169 or $249 per month. There are no setup fees, no per-user charges, no per-feature charges and no charge for your booking site. Fees are in US dollars and exclude any sales or use tax we are required to collect.
2. When you are charged
- Monthly, in advance. The first charge is on the day you start a paid plan. Every later charge falls on the same day of the following month.
- If that day does not exist in a given month, the charge falls on the last day of that month.
- We email a receipt for every charge to your account address.
On your statement it will read EZRENTALYARD LLC. If you see a
charge you do not recognize, that is us — please email before disputing it, and see section 7.
3. Canceling
Cancel whenever you like. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, no reason required, no phone call, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
Two ways to do it, and they end at the same moment. Open Manage billing on Stripe from your Billing page and cancel there, or email us and we will do it for you. Either way the subscription ends when the period you are in ends, and you keep full access until then.
We do not refund pro rata. Canceling part-way through a period does not produce a refund for the rest of it — you keep the service for the days you have paid for instead.
During your free trial, nothing is charged at all. Cancel at any moment before the trial ends and no money ever changes hands — there is no first bill to be part-way through.
You can download CSVs from inside the software for as long as your account is open. After it closes the workspace is no longer reachable, so ask us within 30 days and we will produce a complete export of your workspace and send it to you. After 30 days we delete it and it cannot be recovered.
4. Refunds
First 30 days — money back
If you cancel within 30 days of your first paid charge, email us and we will refund that charge in full. You do not have to explain why. This applies once, to the first paid month of a new account.
After that — no partial-month refunds, and no pro rata
Outside that window, monthly fees already paid are not refundable, including for a partial month. If you cancel on day three of a billing period, you keep the service for the remaining twenty-seven days rather than receiving a refund for them. We would rather say this plainly here than have you discover it later.
Where we do refund, regardless of timing
- We billed you in error — a duplicate charge, the wrong tier, a charge after you canceled. Refunded in full.
- We terminated your account without cause — the unused portion of the period you paid for, refunded pro rata.
- A prolonged outage on our side. If the service is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours within a billing period, tell us and we will credit the affected days pro rata. Section 8 of the Terms of Service is honest that we do not sell a contractual uptime guarantee at this price, and this is not one — it is a floor we hold ourselves to, stated with a number so that it means something.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days. How quickly it then appears is your bank's business, not ours; it is usually 5 to 10 further days.
5. Changing tier
- Moving up — the new rate starts at your next billing date. We do not back-charge you, and we do not charge retroactively for a unit count you exceeded earlier in the month.
- Moving down — takes effect at your next billing date. The current period is not refunded or pro-rated.
- Going over your unit count — nothing stops working and nothing is charged automatically. We contact you first and move you up a tier from the next billing date.
6. If a payment fails
We email you and retry over the following days. Your account keeps working during that window. If payment has still not succeeded after 14 days we suspend access — suspended, not deleted. Pay the outstanding amount and everything comes back exactly as it was. If an account stays suspended and unpaid for 30 days we close it and the 30-day export window in section 3 begins.
7. Before you call your bank
Email us first. We can refund a charge in a couple of minutes. A chargeback takes your bank several weeks, freezes the amount while it runs, and — if it is a misunderstanding — ends with the charge standing anyway.
We have never refused a refund we said we would give. If you think we owe you money, write to the address below and say so directly.
If we cannot agree, section 15 of the Terms of Service sets out the governing law and where a dispute is heard.
8. Payments you take from your renters
This page is about what we charge you. It has nothing to do with the deposits and rental charges you take from your own customers — those are between your yard and your renter, on your own terms, and any refund of them is your decision and your yard's liability. Card processing inside the software is not live yet; see section 7 of the Terms of Service for what changes when it is.
